It’s almost dangerous to talk too much about Mat – he might actually be Messi’s lost brother. Mat is one of the purest personalities in the team: calm, humble, always smiling, just like his brother Andreas. (Serious respect to your parents, guys.)
On the pitch, he’s the complete package: dribbling, shooting, passing, defending – everything at 100% intensity and quality. He reads the game brilliantly, connects the lines, and often acts as both the core and the brain of the team at the same time.
There was this one match where he hadn’t warmed up properly and was tired from work, so the team got a bit scared… but he still finds a way to help. That’s the level he’s at.
Mat is one of those players you build around: a key part of the team’s identity, technically gifted, mentally locked in, and an absolute pleasure to have in the squad.
